Warranties

PARTS WARRANTY:

A standard parts warranty is provided by each equipment manufacturer.  Some manufacturers extend their warrant coverage to the original purchaser through registration.  JACKSON automatically registers each system they install on behalf of their customers to insure the maximum warranty.  There is no charge for this registration. A typical parts warranty for a residential system is ten (10) years.  If a gas system is installed, the heat exchanger portion of the furnace may be covered for twenty (20) years or longer, depending on the brand.  All manufacturers require annual preventive maintenance to maintain warranty coverage.

LABOR WARRANTY:

A standard labor warranty is usually provided by the installing contractor.  A typical labor warranty for a residential system is one (1) year.

CONTROL WARRANTY:

A standard replacement warranty is provided on thermostats and other controls provided by the control manufacturer.  A typical replacement warranty is five (5) years.

EXTENDED WARRANTY:

An extended parts and/or labor warranty is available from the manufacturer or a third party provider at the time of installation for an additional charge.  A typical extended warranty for a residential system is ten (10) years.  An extended warranty is generally transferable to a subsequent owner and also require annual preventive maintenance to maintain coverage.

JACKSON'S "exclusive" WORKMANSHIP WARRANTY:

The quality of the materials and labor used in the installation of a heating and cooling system are generally not covered under warranty ... or, at best, are partially covered under the contractor's one (1) year labor warranty.  JACKSON provides a unique and exclusive warranty for a full ten (10) years against defects in materials or workmanship provided by them from the date the system is placed into service.  Items covered include:  duct-work, fasteners, and hangers, collars and boots, insulation, sealants an mastics, refrigerant lines, control wiring, high voltage wiring, etc.  Annual preventive maintenance is required to maintain warranty coverage.

WARRANTY CLAIMS:

JACKSON provides service on all brands and will process warranty claims on behalf of their customers with NO processing fee ... even on systems installed by others.
